Meet Maggie
I have lived my entire life in Washington State. My grandfather, Jerry McCarty, helped to create the governing constitution for the Makah Tribe. He taught his family the importance of the democratic process and duty to your community. My professional career has been dedicated to public service. My family, my education, and my work have all contributed to the skills I will bring as Port Commissioner.
My education is in law and public policy with a master’s degree in public administration. I have been an employment rights director for the tribes, created business plans for community development and worked on national clean air legislation.
